West Wing of Hay Castle

The castle at Hay-on-Wye stands high over the rest of the town. Part Norman tower, part Jacobean mansion, this stunning structure is now in the hands of the Hay Castle Trust which has plans for conservation and restoration work on the remains of the original castle and the eastern wing of the mansion which was seriously damaged by a fire in 1939.
