Saundersfoot, on Pembrokeshire's south coast, is a popular seaside resort with a wide sandy beach. Local industry - coal mining and iron ore production - brought the railway to this corner of Pembrokeshire, and when that came to an end in the 1930s, tourists replaced it as a source of income and employment. In the distance can be seen the coastal village of Amroth.
