Looking Down a Dinorwic Quarry Incline

Two major inclines run from top to bottom of the slate quarries at Dinorwic. This view is from the top of the eastern side of the quarry, near the old slate dressing sheds. The incline was in several stages - it's a long way down and pretty steep - with a winding engine for each stage. At the foot of the incline can be seen Llyn (Lake) Peris.
