Aberffraw, Isle of Anglesey

Traeth Mawr is a wide, sandy beach at the mouth of the Afon Ffraw, near Aberffraw on the Isle of Anglesey, backing onto an extensive system of sand dunes. A popular circular walk from the village of Aberffraw runs alongside the Afon Ffraw to the beach, then along the edge of the beach and back along the boundary between dunes and fields until it reaches the minor road back to the village. Traeth Mawr translates from the Welsh as 'long beach', so it's a name shared by several Welsh beaches.
