Coastal Quarry at Porthgain, Pembrokeshire

Looking across the coastal quarry near Porthgain to the ruins of buildings, constructed from locally produced brick, which housed machinery and equipment used by the quarry. Originally a slate quarry, later dolerite, a hard volcanic rock, was extracted from here for use as road stone.
