The Beacons from Hirwaun Common

At the top of a double hairpin ascending the steep escarpment of Hirwaun Common, stop in the lay-by. This is where you leave the Beacons, and enter the Rhondda Valley. The vista is stunning in all directions. This view is looking north east, towards the central peaks of the Brecon Beacons.
