Hopkinstown, Rhondda Cynon Taff

One of few winding towers still standing, the Great Western at Hopkinstown, near Pontypridd in the Rhondda Valley. There's an air of decay about the place, but things are changing here - the old colliery is being preserved as part of the nearby Rhondda Heritage Centre.
