Elan Village, Powys

Caban Coch, the lowest of the Elan Valley dams, holds back 35,500 megalitres of water. Most of the time the water level is below the top of the dam, but when full the overflow resembles a giant waterfall as it tumbles down the face of the near-vertical dam.
