Rhossili, Swansea

Of all Wales' wonderful beaches, Rhossili Bay is perhaps the most stunning. At the exposed westerly end of the Gower Peninsula, the beach - known locally as Llangennith Sands - is popular with surfers. At the southern end is the rocky island of Worms Head, and at the northern end is the smaller island of Burry Holm. Both are accessible at low tide.
