Beddgelert, Gwynedd

Whether or not the legend of Gelert is based on fact is open to debate. This bronze sculpture of the faithful hound slain in anger - and error - by Llywelyn, stands by the doorway of a stone building near the River Glaslyn at Beddgelert in Snowdonia.
