Llandrindod Wells, Powys
Atop the Glen Usk hotel on South Crescent in Llandrindod - one of several large hotels originating from the town's Victorian Spa era - is the Butlers Tower, which was once used for spotting the carriages of guests approaching the hotel. Visitors don't arrive by carriage any more, so the Butlers Tower is redundant and looks rather forlorn.
