Brecon, Powys

The remaining section of Brecon Castle is surprisingly intact, and has relatively recently been attached to an hotel which stands on the site. Founded by a second generation Norman, Bernard de Neufmarche, Brecon Castle pre-dated the town which grew up around the site.
