Lake Vyrnwy,
The grounds of the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel give an elevated view over the straining tower and along the reservoir. Hidden under the waters of this Victorian reservoir is the village of Llanwddyn which was flooded after the dam on the River Vyrnwy was commissioned in 1888.
